Recreational PADI Courses:-
For all PADI Recreational Diver courses (Open Water Diver to Rescue Diver) you are NOT required to have a medical examination with a Doctor unless you have answered “Yes” to a question on the PADI Medical Declaration. Professional level course:-
If you are taking part in a PADI professional level course (Divemaster and above) you WILL need to have a full Medical with your Doctor or an HSE Doctor PRIOR to certification. If you intend working in the diving industry in the UK after certification (whether paid OR unpaid), you will be required to have a full HSE Medical with an HSE Doctor before commencing work.
Prior to visiting the HSE Doctor, you must first complete a medical questionnaire (click here to download – you ONLY require Page 18) which your GP must sign.
