You will start your course with independent home study of the Rescue Diver Manual and completion of Knowledge Reviews.  Home study will be followed by an academic classroom knowledge development session (Saturday starting at 10.30a.m.) followed by confined water training at Maidstone Leisure Centre (Saturday starting at 5.30 p.m.).  Confined water rescue training will be followed by practical assessments in open water with staged scenarios.

Course Pre-requisites

• To take part in the PADI Rescue Diver Course, you must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a certification beyond entry level, with a minimum of 20 logged dives and experience in deep diving and underwater navigation and have completed a sanctioned course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR Primary Care) and basic first aid (Secondary Care) within the past two years – e.g. the EFR Course.
• CPR & First Aid training must be successfully completed prior to Knowledge Development presentation two and rescue training session two of the Rescue Diver course.
• Minimum age: 12 years (for Junior Divers)
