What will I do?

Training will be included on the preparation, planning and organizing of Deep Dives.  Training for the Deep Diver Course takes place during the open water segments, as opposed to the class room to underpin the practical relevance.
 

The Deep Course will cover:-

• Deep Diving Activities
• Depth Limits
• Specific Equipment Requirements
• Deep Diving Techniques
• Nitrogen Narcosis
• Decompression Sickness
• Travelling at Altitude after Diving
• Recreational Dive Planner Review
• Emergency Equipment Considerations
• Post dive procedures.
   

You'll also put this knowledge to the test as you go on four open water dives that range from 18 - 40 metres / 60 - 130 feet.

Dive 1 will take place between 18 meters and a maximum of 30 meters.
Dive 2 will take place between 18 meters and a maximum of 24 meters.
Dive 3 will take place between 30 meters and a maximum of 40 meters.
Dive 4 will take place between 18 meters and a maximum of 30 meters.

Courses take place at the National Diving & Activity Centre or Guildenborough or Stoney Cove and you will need to complete a registration form at the gate, and pay to park and and enter (typically £7 to £8.00 per day).   This is exactly what you will do when you choose to go and dive at the NDC, Stoney or Guildenborough yourself.

All equipment is provided throughout your course.  A deposit of £24.95 (refundable) will be required against the free loan of your PADI Go Dive course video.

• Minimum age: 15 years.

This course takes place at a location that is over 2 hours drive from Maidstone.  You will therefore require accommodation for one (possibly 2) nights at a B&B. Cost of accommodation are NOT included in course fee.
